We are all very aware that the climate crisis hasn't gone anywhere during this pandemic. Our oceans are still being polluted, food and fresh water shortages escalate around the world. Earth’s lungs are being cut down, and the exploitation of natural resources makes the living conditions for humans and animals a tragedy in many places.
On top of this, humanity is suffering one of the most severe crises ever experienced. These uncertain times undoubtedly raise a number of questions about our way of life.
Covid-19 has led to a global mobilization that we have never seen in the modern world. Very swiftly, and with great effort, the world community has taken enormous measures to fight the virus. Will we see the same determination when it comes to saving the climate and our blue planet?
We believe this is our time in history to reflect on what our shared responsibility for the future really means. This is our time to re-evaluate how we want to live our lives. To determine our legacy.
We are now at a crossroad. Do we really want to go back to ’normal’ or are we ready to build something new together? Wasn’t normal in fact the problem in the first place? Now more than ever, we have the opportunity for a fresh start. Let’s leave the rigid ideas of the past behind, and start to restore our honor to Mother Nature and to our future generations.
Let us begin something new together. Dare to embrace change. Redo and do right.
